    Creating in Partnership with Spirit

Being one with Spirit is when and why things work—and I mean everything. No matter what you are working on or wishing for, it will only succeed when you are connected–start to finish–totally aligned with Spirit! I will explain.

The earth is made of spirit, and so is everything in, around, and about it, including you. Spirit is the very element of creation, the energy that is constantly sending out the vibes of truth that allow things to move forward. So to have something work as it was always meant to work—which is perfection–you have to connect to and flow with that river of truth I call Spirit.

The Power of Remembering Your Divinity

For about a dozen years I had the impression to study a certain class—one that was becoming more and more popular amongst truth-seekers such as I. Everything I had heard about the class felt in alignment with my beliefs, but no such class had shown up along my path. A little while back, concerned about…

    I Give Up!

As I was kayaking across Lake Tahoe’s northern shores last week, mesmerized by the intense cobalt blue waters so clear you can see all the way to the bottom—I had an epiphany. I was not entirely happy, and I knew why: I was holding onto a lot of other people’s stuff, and it was sucking the life out of me!

As I glided along across the miles of glassy water towards a gorgeous rocky point, I noticed some extra pounds of heaviness—added weight in my heart that did not fit my style in that moment. I knew I had to let go of something in order to return to my own peaceful center,

    Transparent to Spirit

There are two basic ways we live as humans beings: barricading ourselves from the light of spirit, or allowing ourselves to be open to it—being transparent. We choose. Nothing but our own ignorance prevents us from living in the perfect peace of oneness with Spirit at any given moment of our lives.

There is no one out there on this planet (reading this blog or not) who does not have some kind of barricade up right now in this very moment–a block to the spirit. Barricading yourself from the light of spirit happens with the slightest shift in your energy towards judgment—the choice we each make to be confused or offended by others choices or the punishment we give ourselves for our own.

These two ways of being—blocking spirit or being transparent to spirit—actually create the environment we live in. Our particular space of existence may be recognized within a scale marked at one end by pain and at the other end by happiness. We will always find ourselves somewhere along that scale, and while we may suffer much in the pain category from day to day, we always possess within us the power to live mostly in the happiness category.

Recognizing and accessing that power is quite simple. I will explain.

    Spiritual Emergency Plan

I woke up before dawn this morning feeling very out of alignment with spirit. I said some forgivings, hoping to release some unwanted energy, and asked for help in prayer. But still needing more, I hopped up, threw on some clothes and shoes, and went for a walk in the cool early morning stillness.

With my first few steps, I thought that walking around my palm-tree-lined suburban neighborhood did not seem like the spiritual retreat I would have chosen. When I consider re-creating my alignment with spirit, I usually think of being on top of a mountain, by a stream, or in a sacred spot in the forest. But surprisingly today, in just about ten minutes of moving my body while listening to the chirping birds and simply breathing the fresh air, I began to awaken spiritual life in me again.
