    Checking In With The LIGHT

The times we are living in are filled with amazingly complex opportunities, changes, information, and choices. Every option is open—multitudes of offerings from a table of abundance, shattering our confidence in history, tradition and ritual as a form of absolute and personal direction.

In such a maze, confusion can thwart our ability to trust ourselves. Perhaps suffering from past experiences warns we could use a little help making better choices. It has never been more essential that we have a personal guidance system in place, something we can trust to lead us into safe havens, places where our efforts will reward us with returns such as safety, peace, happiness, and love.

    From Leisure to Spirituality

Leisure is an attitude of mind and a condition of the soul that fosters a capacity to perceive the true reality of life. Spirituality can be born only in leisure–a leisure that allows freedom of thought and time for the contemplation of the nature of God. I propose that leisure is the foundation for success in discovering a peaceful existence of spirituality in our lives. Whether we physically stop our routines and escape to nature or simply shift our mindset to a deeper spiritual awareness, relaxing into the state of leisure allows spiritual enlightenment to bless you.

A Course In Healing Through Forgiveness

Spirit is a powerful force for creating positive changes immediately into your life experience, and I love explaining how to use spirit to bless the lives of everyone ready to learn!

I recently spent a few hours with a new client, guiding her to greater enlightenment by sharing tools of forgiveness and creation from the truth already within her, calling forth and allowing that magnificent energy of love to fill her whole being. Within a few hours together, she shifted from feeling extremely depressed and hopeless to having 100% confidence in herself, in love with her life, and with the strength, desire, and ability to go forth and live accordingly. It was a complete 180-degree turnaround, in just a few hours of working with me using powerful and lovely spirit-principles.

I am grateful to confess that while this example is magnificent, it is not rare. In fact it is the norm when you are honestly asking for guidance and ready to take the leap of faith into a life of trusting spirit as your guide. The principles of trusting spirit absolutely and always work! Spirit is ready and waiting to bless–you just have to know how to get to it!

    Surrendering To The Light

In the fall of 1972 as I began my sophomore year in college, my sister joined me as a freshman, sharing an apartment near campus along with 4 other friends. Janice & I had grown up very close, being only one year apart in age. We were so excited to be together again at school, though we were far from our home in Tennessee. Mother told me later that Daddy cried all the way across that 2000-mile drive home, feeling the loss of leaving his two little girls so far away from him.

    Spiritual Emergency Plan

I woke up before dawn this morning feeling very out of alignment with spirit. I said some forgivings, hoping to release some unwanted energy, and asked for help in prayer. But still needing more, I hopped up, threw on some clothes and shoes, and went for a walk in the cool early morning stillness.

With my first few steps, I thought that walking around my palm-tree-lined suburban neighborhood did not seem like the spiritual retreat I would have chosen. When I consider re-creating my alignment with spirit, I usually think of being on top of a mountain, by a stream, or in a sacred spot in the forest. But surprisingly today, in just about ten minutes of moving my body while listening to the chirping birds and simply breathing the fresh air, I began to awaken spiritual life in me again.

    Remember and Be Well

Remembering who you are on the deepest level–that’s the real key to happiness!

Remembering requires little of you–just a few moments to change your perspective back to a more truthful one. Let me remind you now: you are not your body, your job, your education, your possessions, your family, your relationships, your health or your history–even though that may be how you happen to be expressing right now (since that’s the identity that’s most apparent to our five-sensory living.)

But will you allow me to share a deeper truth? Use your sixth sense of spiritual knowing and ponder with me for a moment that there is more to you!
