A Course In Healing Through Forgiveness

Spirit is a powerful force for creating positive changes immediately into your life experience, and I love explaining how to use spirit to bless the lives of everyone ready to learn! I recently spent a few hours with a new client, guiding her to greater enlightenment by sharing tools of forgiveness and creation from the truth already within her, calling forth and allowing that magnificent energy of love to fill her whole being. Within a few hours together, she shifted from feeling extremely depressed and hopeless to having 100% confidence in herself, in love with her life, and with the strength, desire, and ability to go forth and live accordingly. It was a complete 180-degree turnaround, in just a few hours of working with me using powerful and lovely spirit-principles. I am grateful to confess that while this example is magnificent, it is not rare. In fact it is the norm when you are honestly asking for guidance and ready to take the leap of faith into a life of trusting spirit as your guide. The principles of trusting spirit absolutely and always work! Spirit is ready and waiting to bless--you just have to know how to get to it! Read the rest of this entry »

Aligned With Truth

I wrote this article as a response to a dear friend who is struggling with important life-changing decisions. I advised him to go deep into his soul, and to honor the feelings he knows are true. My desire is that he not cave to pressures from the opinions of others or what might be the obvious survival-mode conclusions. As always this guidance states that spirit is constantly speaking truth, giving the best advise for every decision along your course.

Sometimes all the pieces of our lives are working together quite smoothly, like great teamwork. We feel happy, satisfied, and maybe even like we have everything figured out. We are wearing our Life Is Good shirt with pride.

And then out of nowhere, like a crack in the sidewalk, something comes along to knock us down. When that smooth ride hits the bump, we may land on the cement, in the gutter, or maybe even in the hospital.

So just how bad are these problems that throw us off course, and where do we go for help?

I want to share a few ideas that can make your ride easier, all of which have roots in the idea that to flow with life, we have to be deeply rooted, aligned, with truth—from spirit.

There is an energetic (spiritual) reality to your life, and there is a physical reality to your life. The blueprint of your life is already perfectly created, in the form of spirit (energy.) The things that you love, the things that make you happy, the things that light your fire, already exist as evidence of the real you. All that you love and feel good about is a living form of energy, like a hologram of your spirit. By focusing on what you already love, you honor what you came here to be, feel, and experience. This is why it feels so good to live from spirit–this is the reality of what is most real and true.

If what you are experiencing in the physical reality is different from this peaceful spiritual hologram, you may not living in alignment with truth. When you are out of alignment with truth, you feel dissatisfied with your life, and it can hurt.

I don’t mean to be insulting to anyone who flies off course unexpectedly. It happens to all of us, all the time. Some expect these bumps are the norm, but I see it differently. God said we are here to experience joy, and I take Him at His word. The bumpy, out of control, tripping everywhere stuff shows we are out of alignment with truth.

There is a better way. Life is Good can be the norm. There are tools to correct our bad driving. When we learn to live by the spirit of truth of who we are and what we came here to be, then the bumps may still come along, but they appear more as a joy ride than landing us in the hospital.

To share some powerful enlightenment for creating a smoother, more joyful daily ride through life, I have an assignment for you: I want you to make a list, starting right now.

This may take a little bit of introspection, so give it a few days to percolate and grow in clarity. The question you get to make a list about is this: What do you know is true about your life? What is it you feel great while doing? What recurring messages have come to you that may have a message?

Focus on the categories that mean something to you, like relationships, finances, home, career, social aspects, hobbies. This list is about feelings, not labels. What would it feel like if you actually were experiencing life as you always knew you should/could/would?

As you ponder these questions, keep your focus on what feels really good in your heart.

Your heart is your truth-a-meter. This is the location where all the information about your life and choices already resonates. Your job is to get familiar with those vibrations, to be comfortable there.

To do this, you have to acknowledge what is there, and honor those feelings. This exercise is your way of showing you are willing to finally listen to what your heart has been trying to tell you all along.

Listening to our inner knowing heart is a wonderful gift to self. Though rarely done enough, it is the one experience that always produces feelings of satisfaction. Your heart wants to know it can trust you with its most precious truths, so just be open and honest. Ask, then listen.

As you accept this assignment, I remind you to use no labels of people, places, or things. This exercise is entirely about feelings or impressions–how something feels or appears, according to a spiritual source of such information. As you ask, you will know.

You may have dreams. You may have already had recurring dreams. Don’t get hung up on the details. Just write down your impressions, and the information embedded there will reveal in due time. For now, just write what you remember feeling.

These feelings may manifest as longings and desires, the roots of which exist in a spiritual awareness that you need to become consciously aware of.

Sometimes people tell you things they see in you. If others repeatedly share the same impressions about you, write those down. Messages of truth come from our hearts, as well as from the angels among us.

Once your list is made, full of energetic descriptions of your truest feelings, I would ask you to spend some personal time studying the list. As you notice the energetic patterns or feelings created when pondering your list, your spiritual hologram will appear, as real as anything physical you ever thought of as self.

Your next job is to love this hologram (spirit creation of self) with all your heart. This is your truth. You may talk to this image as if it is alive—it is. You must develop a vital and loving relationship with the truth of who you are—energetically, spiritually.

This act of loving your spirit-self allows that entity to become larger than life. When such becomes a constant reality of who you are, you truly step into that hologram and live from such empowered energetic vibrations—creating a steady stream of beautiful, satisfying results in your day-to-day living. Yes, life is very good when aligned with truth. Why settle for anything less?

These are my six children, who have been with me in spirit since long before my child-bearing years began. This is the manifestation of a lifelong inner awareness of my path. And yes, this celebration of me behind them is from a heart full of gratitude that my spiritual hologram actually manifest into reality–a reality that brings me much joy!

Do It Right NOW!

When I say Trust Spirit Now, that’s exactly what I mean: NOW—not in a little while, when things get a little quieter, or when you can find a place alone to think. At the first realization that your life feels less than joyful, the time is now to go to spirit for help. That means stop everything, and at least be willing to ask, even experiment, as I did in a most interesting way.

It was about 1998, and I was listening to one of my favorite spiritual mentors, rewinding my car’s tape player, over and over, as I tried to understand the deep spiritual concepts she was sharing. My teacher was explaining that spirit was ready and waiting to talk to me, right then, wherever I was, to give me the guidance I was in need of, in that very moment. She challenged me to test her theories.

Ask for anything that’s on your mind, anything you need in this very moment, and then pay attention to the first thing that speaks to you. My mentor was suggesting I should expect some spiritual feedback within moments.

At the time, I had the road to myself, driving across I-84 in Idaho, with so much wide-open space and little traffic that I could have read a magazine and driven at the same time. There was not much out there I thought could answer the questions on my mind, but I was willing to give her suggestion a try.

It was a time of seemingly unquenchable thirst for truth, as I was healing from a quarter-century of trying to make my life work in a dysfunctional marriage. While I was well advised to stop trying to figure it out and to get on with creating a new life, my rational mind demanded more answers, and my heart wanted some much-deserved peace. So that’s what I asked for—peace. As I tested this spiritual teacher’s challenge, I immediately heard some numbers whispered in my mind.

Moments later a billboard stretched across the fields in front of me, with a large advertisement painted on it, including the very numbers I had just heard in my mind. My first reaction was to discount the possibility that I had actually heard or seen anything, or that either had a message for me. But I quieted that doubting voice, and decided to just see this test through.

I acknowledged and received the reality that both the whispered numbers and the billboard numbers might suggest a message. I ignored all suspicious thinking, and noticed that the very same numbers matched an upcoming exit number. I questioned that for a moment as well, but then turned off the freeway a few miles ahead at the exit.

There was only one way to turn, so I traveled in that direction for a while, watching but seeing nothing that would suggest a spiritual gift. When I finally saw any civilization, I had a flashback to another time when I had been at the exact same place.

Some years before, our family had stopped there for lunch, but that memory did not immediately give me any clues as to why I was being guided there again. I continued to ask for direction, wondering if possibly I was at this exact location to meet someone, to serve someone else, or if someone would show up with my much needed gift of peace.

But none of that happened. I sat there in the exact spot where I had been a few years prior, recalling the day when I had lunch with my family. As I allowed myself to think on that day for a few more instants, I immediately remembered the emotions I had at that previous visit.

Because I was a vegetarian at the time, and because there were few choices to eat vegetarian in the area where we were traveling, my husband had willingly driven about five miles out of his way to appease my food needs at this exact restaurant.

It was interesting to me that I had forgotten all about that little gift, until I returned to the location, even several years later. The memory of that previous visit brought with it some good vibes, reminding me of how sweet it was of him to oblige me without a word of argument, which had pleasantly surprised me. Remembering that about him, I heard a voice whispering, he did the best he could.

In that moment, my distraught emotions about being a single mom lifted, and peace entered my heart. So the spirit guided me miles off the freeway and into the parking lot of a restaurant in a little town in the middle of nowhere—to remind me that I did feel loved once. Wow.

It was as if the good things that happened there, many years before, were somehow still there, like a hologram of me and of that day, vibrating in the spirit space as if it was in present time. I literally drove all that way and into that energy field (the vibrations of my experience there) to find the love that was still there, to bless me as I had asked.

The requested peace came so simply. How had it worked? I trusted, I asked, and I paid attention to what showed up, then listened for the deeper messages of the apparent.

I could have discounted the numbers that voiced in my mind, the billboard that repeated them, and the coincidence of remembering a long ago day in that exact location. But I didn’t. I dismissed all doubt, and later these choices allowed my desired gift of peace to manifest.

That’s how easily messages from loving spirit communicate with us to bless us, by meeting our needs, exactly as we ask at any given moment in time. It is our intended nature to live with God’s spirit as our constant guide.

So you must know that the voice of spirit is here with you too, right now, ready to share with you all the answers to your life’s questions and needs. You can count on this! Spirit speaks in whatever voice you can receive, and especially if you are fine-tuned to your spiritual gifts.

The reality of spirit as a tangible presence is actually more real than those highways, billboards, buildings and crossroads I connected with in Idaho, so many years ago. While the buildings and roads will someday crumble and disappear, what happened to me will not.

In reality, every breath of my life, every interaction, every thought I’ve ever had, still exists—out there in all the places I have been, and in me, within my psyche. All those holograms that paint the picture of my life are still vibrating with energetic life, somewhere just beyond my physical senses, in the paradigm of a spiritual world.

The reality of spirit, again, is that all the abundance of the entire universe is simply waiting for you to ask. So do it, right now, and get ready to receive!sc01817952

Ask and Receive

PA240266Sometimes we try to do everything with our limited physical selves, when it is so much easier, effortless really, to create the good life when connected to spirit. Sometimes we could use a little help getting into our spiritual matrix, that power place where we can practice experiencing the blessings of spirit. So today, I want to be that friend, and give you a tool for short-cutting your access to spirit.

Your spirit is one with God now, always has been, and always will be. Your spirit can manage life quite well, perfectly in fact, if you will let it in! Your spirit is very sacred, very precious, and must be able to trust you, to trust that your physical being will follow the inspirational promptings it receives. Your spirit wants to be fed, nourished, from the source of all spirit—God and the angels.

As we become aware of our higher selves as spirit beings, children of God, we allow an abundance of love to flow into our physical bodies, literally and physically changing us. It is from this place of spiritual unity with self and God that we can begin to ask for our needs to be met, and receive all that is already ours, now.

Please enjoy this 16 minute meditation as a gift of love, God’s love. It’s simply a tool, a hand to hold to lead you into your own spiritual depths, a little help to guide you home.

Allowing I Am To Be

DSC_0427Here I am, sitting on a foreign beach of the massive Atlantic Ocean, watching the waves roll in. It’s La Pedrera, the stones, in beautiful Uruguay. Azure blue ocean and sand and stones—stones that have been here, holding onto the edges of the sand and waters, as far as the eyes can see, for as long, I suppose, as life has been happening.

DSC_0402

Feelings of being more peaceful come to me near these stones, as if I too am strong and real and timeless. Being here is a grounding experience, bringing my soul and these rocks and all that we both represent, into a state of oneness. Such a spiritual connection is what I call, simply being. In this moment, I am here, and none of me is anywhere else. I simply am.

Others must feel some of the same connectedness as I do, for this place draws to it what I call the Bohemian types, or those who connect to loving what is, being close to nature and all that the state of being natural represents. Here in La Pedrera, I feel the presence of an attitude of allowing. There is time to talk, to kiss on the cheek, even strangers, to smile with kindness, to be thankful for what is, to relax while working hard. Some people are living with less materially than I am used to, but they have seemingly unlimited capacities to be loving and peaceful, to give from a fullness of spiritual abundance. Even though I am about six thousand miles from my house and family, for some reason, I feel quite at home.

You may wonder what I mean by the expression of allowing I am to be. Isn’t God the Great I Am? Isn’t that a name we respectfully use for the source of all light, truth, and love? Yes it is, and I have a most sacred reverence for God, but I also know my connection to God, and that as His offspring, we are the royal baby I am’s!

We use the words I am all the time—I am happy or sad, I am going to sleep or work now, I am afraid or trusting, I am her brother or sister, I am rich or broke, I am well enough or I am sick—I am, I am, I am. And every time we use these words, we are identifying the characteristics of our perceived being, and planting the beliefs of such in our daily path of how we express as a being.

But it is so much more than the simple use of words. Words are not just literal manifestations of reality. They are a form of energy, of identifying truth, of commanding the elements to create by our beliefs in such. Saying anything after the words I am is a most powerful tool of creation. I am is present tense, present location, present reality, so we must be careful how we use those words, and what we feel when we use them.

How do I use my words and knowledge of I am to connect to God and the good life he offers? Christ said that he stands at the door and knocks. Some have painted this scene as a door with no visible handle for Christ to open the door. It is assumed that the door must be opened from the inside, from the side where we live, while the door represents a state of being shut off from him. But Christ has announced that he is with us, that he is always here by our side, in the very room, ready and willing to help us, that his love is eternal and completely unconditional. That is the gift he offers us. So why would we have to open a door where we are hid off from him? Who did that to us? What is the door that keeps him apart? And why since God is with us always would we ever be anything the least bit less than ecstatically happy? If all the love and support in the world is just here, standing at my door, what’s the matter with me that I don’t simply open the door and ask such love to enter? What is missing? What is my tool of access to this abundance of grace? It’s a matter of simply allowing, and that is the lesson of the day.

Christ taught that we should live from the space of unconditional love, that we are not to judge, that we are simply to be the love, as Christ showed, and leave the rest up to Him. The problem with most of us is that we have forgotten how to do that. How do we let Him/love in? How do we allow this truth to bless us with its gifts?

To open the door to God’s gracious offering of unconditional love, we have to allow ourselves the freedom to just be, like the stones along the shores of La Pedrera. If I stand in this spot on the beach here for another thousand years, I expect the same blue waters to continue to splash over these rocks every day, and the same stars to reflect their same glittering light every night. There is not much I can do to change that course of nature, nor would I want to. It is what it is. And I am what I am.

There are two ways for me to be here in La Pedrera: one is to connect to the loving energy of what is, as with these stones and these kind people, and the other is to be disconnected from the truth of who I am and what life is. To explain, I share this example: as I walk along the isolated beach, miles of miles of unexplored sandy dunes and grasses calling to me, I notice at first a slight bit of fear of the unknown. I don’t like that feeling. It is not my natural state of love, so I ask where did it come from? Is it my mind telling me a lone woman should not be here, that some harm could come to me, that a dangerous animal might be lurking ahead, or that the weather is about to turn and prevent my safe return? Is that the channel I listen to—my mind, with all its stored history and information, freely offering advice without being solicited?

That’s symbolic of how our physical lives are—we identify with all kinds of voices that tell us who we are, that love is limited, that life is dangerous, that we are not worthy enough to have the abundance of love unless we do something to earn it. I thank my brain for it’s opinion, but let me tell you the truth: the doing something that I choose means to simply realize that God is here, now, ready to be my constant companion, with love, not fear. If there were some danger lurking ahead on my walk, the advice would come from a peaceful quiet voice, not from gripping fear. And if I am not sure which is speaking, I just channel in some love, and ask spirit.

Imagine, even for a moment, that love is powerfully real, and that it surrounds you now. Imagine that it is your birthright, that it is what life really is. Imagine how easy life would be if you knew that nothing too difficult will ever happen to you that is not a part of your learning, a gift. Imagine that you will never be alone, that you have angels lovingly advising you and protecting you every step of the way. Imagine that you are loved, exactly as you are, even with all that you have done that was less than the expression of love. Imagine that it is okay to God that you be exactly who you are, right now. Imagine that he/they love you forever, with absolutely no conditions that you do anything, other than just to know and accept this truth. Wow. Wouldn’t that be miraculous?

Life is one big loving miracle! That’s the big aha we all must have—daily, even moment to moment, to live the abundant life that is and always has been standing at the door—the door of your remembrance. Christ already paid for all the suffering, with his limitless loving acceptance of all the suffering mankind would ever generate from his ignorance of forgetting the truth of who he is and what he is a part of. It’s a choice to remember and receive Him. Being with his loving energy is being home. Knowing this, no matter where I am is physically located, I can always be at home.

I am is God, and God is peaceful. Joy is the energy of such a presence, and when I find the state of joy, by allowing it, opening the door, letting go and letting God, then I can ask spirit if it is in my best interest to continue walking down these miles of isolated beaches, and I can make all decisions from such a space of trusting spirit. Why would I want to live any other way?

Everything about this earth as God made it is in perfectly divine order. Man, with his ability to choose, is the only element that creates anything other than order. Allowing I am to simply be is the exercise that returns man to his divine state of order, where all is right with the world, where joy is felt, and where peaceful loving truth can direct my day. Somehow, in the day-to-day world of making a living, taking care of our physical needs, man forgets to return to his state of being, where he can find his own truthful La Pedrera.

So how do you allow I am to be?

Allowing I am to be is noticing the wild flowers growing everywhere down the lanes of these streets, the mother bird who just flew over me with her choice of just the right piece of grass for her spring nest, the sun peeping through the clouds creating glorious strokes of light, and being alive and able to breath it all in.

Slow down long enough to not just smell the roses, but to know the roses as the gift of love they were created to represent.

Arrange your time to allow yourself to become one with the strengthening energy of mother earth, freely offering her gifts of loving being-ness.

Acknowledge the truthful sacred nature of every one you meet, with a nod, a smile, some form of recognition of the sacred nature of God-ness within each of us. Living in gratitude for such abundance of love that is, you open the door to receive unlimited amounts.

Hold a loving connection with your image in the mirror, remaining in that gaze sending messages of joy and gratitude as you remember and recognize the child of God you see there. Don’t be embarrassed at the deep spiritual truth this represents. Stay until you can do it with sacred reverence, until your heart melts to grateful tears with the recognition of the love that you are.

Open the door to your heart and let love in. Let Him In! Receive the gifts of life freely given, long ago and far away, but just as true as if in this very moment. Whether you can believe it or not, it is real—trust me, and trust spirit to confirm it. Allowing Christ in is allowing I am to be! It’s the ultimate state of grace.

My friend, Michael McLean wrote a brilliant modern-day musical depicting some of the intense emotions of allowing Him into your life. I share one of the pieces, from the album Forgotten Carols, a very Christmas-y gift to begin the season of gratitude and love. Maybe you can allow the music of Let Him In to be your mantra for today, and to assist in feeling the state of Allowing I Am To Be.
